90 Minute Integrative Restorative Session

About the Experience:

This unique integrative wellness experience combines sound healing, somatic movement, restorative yoga and Thai massage techniques to help you get grounded in your body, relieve tension, and settle your mind. Tania will guide you through a customized flow to suit your preferences. The general structure for a session can flow like this, and you will work together to create your ideal experience. Everything is optional and you can choose to spend more time with some elements or remove one entirely.

  • Discussing goals, setting intention for the session
  • Guided centering meditation, breathing and body awareness scan
  • Use of crystal bowls or chimes to bring focus to the present moment
  • Guided somatic movement flow to release stuck tension throughout the body and strengthen the brain-muscle connection
  • Relaxing Thai Massage to further relax muscles (acupressure, working energy lines, gentle assisted stretches)
  • Assisted Restorative Yoga Poses to integrate the practice and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system
  • Closing sound healing and guided body scan to seal the practice.

My current rate for a 90 minute session is $165 plus a small credit card processing fee.

LOCATION: I practice out of a clinic in Kitsilano, Vancouver. There is plenty of street parking available. You will receive location details in our confirmation email upon booking.

Cancellation Policy: 50% of the service cost will be retained for missed appointments and cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the appointment.

90 Minute Thai Massage

What is Thai Massage?

The goal of Thai Massage is not only to treat the external physical boy, but to also consider the energy flow within the body. The aim is to restore the whole person to a state of balance through assisted movement, acupressure, massage principles. The practice helps bring relief to tight, aching muscles while improving the feeling of overall wellness. A session flows through deep static and rhythmic pressures as the body is stretched, gently compressed, moved, and rocked in various positions that increase circulation and range of motion.

How does Thai Massage compare to other massage?

You remain fully clothed and there is always an open line of communication to ensure you are comfortable and enjoying the process. My intention as a Thai Massage practitioner is to help you feel energized yet relaxed. No lotions or oils are generally used in Thai Massage, however I can include some grounding aromatherapy if requested.

What do you need?

You just have to wear or bring comfortable loose or stretchy clothing.

Somatic Movement Coaching

Work with me 1-on-1 to build the best somatic movement practice for your needs. This is the quickest and most effective way to see somatic movement benefits and learn how to integrate them into your day-to-day life for a body with less pain, more mobility and a strong nervous system-muscle connection. Age gracefully and discover the nuances of somatic exercise in a 60-minute session at my Kitsilano clinic location. Prefer me to come to you? Ask me about in-home services.

The goal of somatic movement coaching is to teach you the skills you need to be more independent with healing your body through movement. I recommend once a week to start, then monthly until you have reached a level of confidence in the practice that you can manage it independently. Membership plans available.

Somatics and Sound Healing

Flow through a gentle restorative movement class featuring somatic exercises with restorative yoga poses, then find stillness during a 30 minute sound journey designed to help you drop into your parasympathetic nervous system and find deep relaxation.

I approach my sound sessions using nature soundscapes to evoke a setting, and play live instruments including cello, tongue drum, crystal and Tibetan bowls, crystal pyramids, koshi chimes and more to create lovely layered sound.

Suitable for all levels, although you must be comfortable lying on the floor for extended periods.

I am offering classes at the New Tides yoga room in Kitsilano every two weeks. Sign up individually for $35 a class, or save 15% with my class packages which can be used for most of my workshops.

A limited number of yoga mats and blocks are available, but if you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. If you would like to reserve a yoga mat, you may email me after confirming registration to request it. I recommend bringing a blanket, pillow and eye mask for the restorative/sound healing portion of the class but this is completely optional and dependent on your own needs.
