Dance As Medicineâ„¢ is a powerful, joyful and transformative practice of conscious movement. It is designed to guide you gently into fully embracing your body, experiencing your emotions, expanding your breath, and unlocking forgotten areas of the body. In this series we will explore the 5 Elements: Water, Earth, Fire, Air and Ether through free-form dance. Connecting with the elements can help us discover where we are flourishing, and where we are holding back.
Each week we will explore a new element, and learn some simple movements to help inspire our individual dance. There is no rigid formula, just guidance. The act of "dancing like nobody's watching" will become second nature, even if you feel you aren't a dancer. All are welcome, from beginners to advanced movers. This is a workout for your body, mind and soul!
