Somatic movement is a safe, gentle and highly efficient practice appropriate for any fitness level. It is effective for reducing the physical effects of day-to-day work and can ease symptoms from past injuries and chronic tension. The slow, mindful nature of the exercises allows your nervous system to connect more effectively with your muscles. This “resets” the muscles and allows them to return to a more relaxed state, while strengthening your body awareness.

Somatics can relieve pain and tension, prevent injuries and degeneration, and improve posture and mobility at any age. Each class we will include restorative yoga poses to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and encourage further muscle and fascia release throughout the body.

This class is designed to help you relax and replenish your mind and body with a calming, slow pace. Drop-in $15, if space permits.
